Everyday Impact Consulting Adds New Position

Company continues to grow, hires program consultant

Everyday Impact Consulting (EIC) is proud to announce and welcome Sherrie Calibo as the company’s Program Consultant. Calibo will be responsible for managing several projects for EIC including the Multi-Year Language Access Resource (MYLAR) Project, a statewide training series designed to increase cultural awareness about Latinos and Asian and Pacific Islanders among victim service providers.  EIC is responsible for managing and coordinating the statewide team.

Sherrie Calibo is a recent first-generation graduate from Sacramento State's Bachelor of Arts in Social Work program, driven to serve the underserved. Calibo was recently an intern for Community Housing Opportunities Corporation (CHOC), an organization focused on providing affordable housing for and building the self-sufficiency of low-income families. Calibo was also a student and student mentor in the first cohort of Sacramento State's Full Circle Project (FCP), a program designed with the intention of increasing graduation and retention rates among the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) populations on campus.

Calibo will join EIC in a new position for the growing firm and will help further EIC’s mission and expertise in creating lasting impact for clients and the marginalized communities they serve through reimagining systems and developing innovative strategies to break through barriers. EIC works with clients and some of the hardest to reach communities to create systemic change, foster meaningful partnerships, and build capacity in communities.

“I am extremely excited about the skills, insights, and passion Sherrie will bring to our company,” said EIC’s Principal Consultant and Owner Elaine Abelaye-Mateo. “The addition of Sherrie to the team allows EIC to increase our client portfolio and strengthens our knowledge and ability to serve clients and the communities they serve.”

Everyday Impact Consulting is a minority women-led firm with years of experience working in the legislative and non-profit arenas with a focus on delivering meaningful results for their clients and empowering marginalized communities throughout the state. Successful social impact rests on strong strategy and smart implementation, and EIC is effective because they excel at integrating both in what they do.
