BE. BOLD. 2025 IS LIVE! REGISTER NOW

Be. Bold. 2025, Leading In Times of Change, shares community-centered leadership practices and knowledge and enables community leaders to learn from each other, connect, and mobilize. Envisioned as a half-day institute this year, Be. Bold. provides a space for local organizers and community and nonprofit leaders to focus on rising to the challenge, fine-tuning their focus and strengthening their resolve to advance our equity movement and cross-racial solidarity.

Our approach centers leaders and solutions that help confront the current uncertainty and shifts and focuses on:

  • Building resource development programs and financial stability to ensure organizations can deliver on their mission and programs;

  • Supporting investments in policy and legal strategies to advance grassroots movement building, spotlighting ongoing efforts to build power;

  • Creating and protecting DEI in the face of relentless attacks so that our most vulnerable communities continue to thrive;

  • An exploration of the roles of leaders in supporting progressive efforts to promote justice in our current political climate; and,

  • Maintaining one’s well-being and mental health amid instability and chaos to continue to find personal purpose and fulfill organizational missions.

Everyday Impact Consulting (EIC), along with key community partners, convened Be. Bold. conferences in 2023 and 2024. Each year, 150 to 200 frontline health workers, public health advocates, community leaders, and student groups came together to share their collective work toward social justice and cross-racial solidarity in the Sacramento region. The 2024 conference, “We Will Rest,” explored the importance of mental health, personal healing, repair and recovery for community leaders.

Designed for a wide range of practitioners, including nonprofit leaders, community organizers and activists, policy advocates, and philanthropic organizations, Be. Bold. 2025, Leading In Times of Change, provides space for timely and critical conversations in the Sacramento region to navigate current changes, while preparing for what’s ahead.

Immigrants belong in our communities - and deserve safety, dignity, and due process.

We are outraged by yesterday's ICE raid in South Sacramento, where at least 9 individuals - including day laborers and a legal observer - were detained. These actions are part of a pattern of unchecked, racially motivated enforcement that violates our civil and constitutional rights.

We stand in unwavering solidarity with our immigrant communities across Sacramento, the Central Valley, and beyond. It’s time for courageous leadership. Together, we must reject complicity and protect the rights of every family.
