California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS), Medical-Member Advisory Committee: Since January 2023, EIC has been in the work of engaging, recruiting, and facilitating meetings for the newly formed Medi-Cal Member Advisory Committee, the very first committee of its kind for the Medi-Cal program that seeks to hear direct feedback from a diverse set of Medi-Cal members across the state about the issues, personal experience, and recommendations for DHCS leadership, and how the Department can implement feedback to improve the overall health and well-being of Californians. In collaboration with the Department of Healthcare Services and the California Health Care Foundation, Everyday Impact has been a partner in establishing an Advisory Committee for Medi-Cal members, having recruited and engaged 18 current members across 11 different counties across California who will provide invaluable feedback on improving the Medi-Cal program.
